The salary then increases to around $55,522 with 5-9 years of experience. The hourly rate for operations managers in Canada stays fairly consistent when comparing to years of experience. The following results are from 2008 based on 139 individuals. An operation manager with less than a year experience to nine years of experience makes approximately $16 to $17 per hour. With 10-19 years of experience the hourly rate increases to approximately $24, and with 20 years of experience or more it increases to $28.50. For managers with 20 years of experience or more the bonus was $5,125 which appeared to be just under the managers with 10-19 years experience. The bonuses would depend on how often the individual works and how productive they are. Year of experience has an effect on the bonuses because with more years experience your operations would have more of a possibility to improve processes.
